Fresno County, CA –A hit-and-run crash on Highway 41 in Fresno County left a woman hospitalized after a Chevy Camaro collided with a Dodge Ram pickup Sunday evening.

The Incident

On the evening of August 25, 2024, a serious hit-and-run accident occurred on southbound Highway 41, south of North Avenue, in Fresno County. The incident involved a Chevy Camaro and a Dodge Ram pickup.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash took place just after 10:00 p.m. when the Camaro struck the rear of the Dodge Ram. Following the collision, the Camaro spun out of control, struck a guardrail, and ultimately caught fire.

The driver of the Camaro fled the scene on foot and remains unidentified. The woman driving the Dodge Ram experienced chest pain and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Law enforcement has not disclosed whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. The driver of the Camaro is still at large.
