The California Highway Patrol said a Hyundai Tucson overturned on eastbound Interstate 80 west of Lagoon Valley Road in Vacaville early Saturday, October 31, 2026. The multi-vehicle crash was reported at about 2:35 a.m. The Hyundai came to rest blocking eastbound lanes and was then struck by three other vehicles.
The Hyundai's driver, a 29-year-old man, died. His passenger, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital in critical condition. A 60-year-old woman driving a Kia sedan was hospitalized with major injuries, according to CHP information reported by KCRA and The Reporter.
The Cause Remains Under Investigation
